Kašnice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Kašnice combines viticulture, local produce and traditional festivals. The Újezd-Pod dědinou vineyard area in Kašnice is listed in the Czech official vineyard register.

Wine and Local Produce

The Vinařství Josef Valihrach winery’s vinotheque is located at Kašnice 52. The vinotheque stocks the winery’s full range, selected foreign wines and additional wine-related products.

In summer, travellers passing through Kašnice can buy apricots, apples, grapes, pears, walnuts, eggs, potatoes, garlic and onions from small local producers. Visitors can sample Burčák and wine at local wineries.

Culture and History

The Kašnické hody are traditional celebrations in folk costume with an afternoon and an evening programme. Kašnice was founded in 1785. The newly straightened Imperial Road led from Krumvíř via Kašnice along the ridge to Těšany and Brno.

The Kašnická traktoriáda reached its fourth edition in 2023. It will not take place in 2026.

Cycling and Sports

A short section of the Moravská vinná cycle route runs through the southeastern part of the cadastral area of Kašnice. The multi-purpose sports field in Kašnice is available free of charge to sports enthusiasts.
