Dyjákovičky: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The first written mention of the Church of St Vitus and the settlement dates from 1220. A medieval settlement core is located around the Church of St Vitus, and the church is protected as a cultural monument. North of the Church of St Vitus stands the second-place monumental stone cross, a high-quality Classicist stone and sculptural work dating from around the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. The severely damaged Baroque Crucifixion in Dyjákovičky was restored in 2025.

Culture and history

Another historic complex is the rectory complex areál fary č. p. 36. It comprises a rectory with house number 36 and an adjoining small place of worship with a Baroque stone statue of the Immaculate Virgin in a niche. The Czech Ministry of Culture designated the rectory complex areál fary č. p. 36 in Dyjákovičky as a cultural monument. At the same time, it is considered a very well-preserved example of rural rectory architecture with a Renaissance core and Baroque alterations in an authentic urban setting within the municipality.

Museums and route

Dyjákovičky is a stop on the Via Czechia Jižní stezka route, with a museum and a bus stop. The Minimuzeum obrany hranic Dyjákovičky is located in the Dyjákovičky municipal office building, house number 1. Since 2024, it has been open to the public on the first Saturday of every month from April to October, from 09:00 to 16:00. The first exhibition room presents the equipment and armaments of the security and armed forces of the First Republic.

In nearby Chvalovice, the Pěchotní srub MJ-S 4 „Zatáčka“ houses a military museum with pre-war weapons as well as weapons and uniforms of the Československá lidová armáda from the Cold War era.
