Bzenec: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Bzenec combines sacred architecture with Moravian wine culture. The Church of St. John the Baptist in Bzenec is a single-nave early Baroque building.
Culture
Count Erdman Proskovský had the Chapel of St. Florian and St. Sebastian built in 1703. It can be reached via a yellow-marked hiking trail that begins at Svobody Square. The paved access road to the chapel branches off Vinařů Street; for cyclists, it leads to the junction with the Moravská vinná stezka.
In the wider region around Bzenec are Buchlov Castle, Holíč Castle and Sobotište Manor House.
Landscape
A thousand-year-old lime tree stands in the park of the Bzenec chateau grounds. Rozštípená skála Mountain lies in the vicinity of Bzenec, as do Ocásek Mountain, Holý vrch Mountain and Holý Kopec Mountain. Milotice Castle Park is also located near Bzenec.
Wine and Traditions
At the end of the cellar tour at Bzenec Chateau, visitors can taste five quality wines. The Bzenecké krojované vinobraní takes place in the second half of September and follows an established programme.
