Hroznová Lhota: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Hroznová Lhota lies on the northern bank of the Velička stream. The village’s architectural history includes the Church of Saint John the Baptist, built in 1654 and remodelled in the historicist style in 1902, as well as the studio house of Joža Uprka, which was converted into a two-storey villa in 1904 based on a design by Dušan Jurkovič.

Joža Uprka’s villa in Hroznová Lhota was visited by Auguste Rodin; the Mrštík brothers, Zdenka Braunerová, Vítězslav Novák, Leoš Janáček and Hanuš Schweiger also met there. The villa is privately owned and not open to the public.
