Mouchnice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Mouchnice is located in the Ždánický les Nature Park. The Kyjovka River, also known as the Stupava, flows through Mouchnice.

Culture and Local History

The village is home to the Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Mouchnice, which was consecrated to Saints Cyril and Methodius in 1994. A Cyril-and-Methodius cross is located on the chapel’s roof ridge. The pilgrimage to Saints Cyril and Methodius in Mouchnice takes place on 5 July.

At the northern edge of Mouchnice stands the wayside shrine “Boží muka,” which dates from 1867. The memorial to the victims of the First and Second World Wars in Mouchnice was ceremoniously unveiled on 14 May 1922.

Cycling and Hiking Trails

The completed Kyjov–Bohuslavice–Mouchnice connection was built to expand the cycling network and promote cycle tourism. At the same time, it expands the network for non-motorised transport and is intended for cycle tourists. Marked blue and green hiking trails run through part of the Haluzice Valley.
