Brezina: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Březina reveals its special character where protected landscapes, marked trails and local history come together. In the western part of the cadastral area of Březina lies the Moravský kras Protected Landscape Area and Natura 2000 site.

Nature and Trails

The signposted tourist route “Osm březinských zastavení” has eight stops with wooden information boards about the respective locations, the surrounding nature, sights and natural features. The stops also have wooden benches and tables for breaks.

The Stádla mountain lies in the immediate vicinity of Březina. The Baba and Babí Lom mountains are located around Březina; further afield in the region is the Urban mountain.

Culture and History

The Vápenická stezka consists of ten information boards: seven are dedicated to lime burning in Březina, and three to the history of the municipality. The Vápenická stezka runs around Březina. Part of it follows the historically documented “Wapenice weg”, the Vápenická cesta, which is still lined with numbered boundary stones.

The branch church of Panny Marie Matky církve is located in Březina near Křtiny. The Kuchlov ruins lie around Březina. The Hrádek ruins are also located around Březina.

Veveří Castle is located further afield in the region around Březina.

Getting Around

The signposted cycle route 5131 runs between Jiříkovice and Březina. IDS-JMK line 201 connects Brno, Ochoz u Brna, Březina, Křtiny and Jedovnice.

The Brno Zoo is also located further afield in the region around Březina.
