Culture and history
The Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows stands on the village green in Závraty. It was built between 1937 and 1938 and consecrated on 18 September 1938. Its hexagonal tower has an open belfry, a conical roof clad in metal, a finial, and an iron cross. Závraty's sights also include several traditional farmsteads.
Near Kamenný Újezd, a historic road joined an important trade route from Upper Austria via Freistadt (Cáhlov) to Bohemia.
Cycling routes
Cycling route 1124 between Boršov nad Vltavou and Lipí passes through Závraty. One described cycling tour runs from Kaliště along the green-marked Zlatá stezka trail to the forested Závratský rybník pond.
