Vrcovice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Vrcovické Hradiště dates back to the Early Bronze Age and gives Vrcovice a clear historical connection. The village chapel is dedicated to Saint Wenceslas.

House No. 11 is one of the buildings in Vrcovice’s rural Baroque style. Staré Lázně was once a popular spa destination.

Nature and trails

The footbridge over the Otava near Borečnice lies partly within the cadastral area of Vrcovice, is maintained as a tourist crossing for public access, and is crossed by the E10 Sedláček Trail. A footbridge also connects the settlement near Vrcovice with the opposite bank of the Otava.

Hiking

The 74-kilometre Písek Ridgeway (Písecká hřebenovka) is an easy to moderately difficult hike. Vrcovické Hradiště is designated as a named waypoint along the route.

Connections

A bus service connects Vrcovice with Písek. From Vrcovice, there are train connections to Písek and Tábor.
