Tálín: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

From Tálín, the signposted cycle path no. 1146 leads towards Kukle. After Kukle, it continues in a northwesterly direction below the Písecké hory hills to Nový Dvůr.

Hiking Trails

The yellow-marked hiking trail runs through Kukle from Tálín to the junction at Němec Pond. It connects Hůrky with the Písecké hory hills and begins at Putim railway station.

Archaeology and History

At the archaeological site in Kukle, a fragment of a gold-sheet artefact was found that had been placed as a grave offering. A contemporaneous settlement was identified on the opposite bank of the Tálínský potok stream.

Later traces have also been documented: the miller Alois Novotný is recorded as working at the Kukle mill in 1872. One of the brickworks in Kukle operated approximately from 1920 to 1939, while the second brickworks ceased operations in 1939.

Events

The Tálínský triatlon takes place every year in July in Tálín. The Václavská pouť pilgrimage festival traditionally takes place at the end of September in the municipality of Tálín.

Kukle was scheduled to host the Galaxy CykloŠvec Maraton on 13 June 2026. The Galaxy CykloŠvec Maraton was scheduled as the third race of the Auto-Vinkler-Jihočeský-MTB-Cup and the Galaxy Series. The sporting events in Tálín are aimed at all age groups – from young children to senior citizens – as well as athletes with physical disabilities.
