Drahenicky: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Tvrz Draheničky is a partially rebuilt, two-storey Renaissance fortress building dating from the first half of the 16th century and forms the western part of an estate. The Tvrz fortress (Draheničky) No. 1 in Svučice is protected as an immovable cultural monument.

History and Culture

A report from 1227 mentions two villages named Drahynice in the vicinity of the local fortress, from which Drahenice and Draheničky later developed. In 1581, the Draheničky estate belonged to Krišt. ze Švamberka. Draheničky was formerly an independent estate.

In Drahenice, a traditional Easter hike to Drahenický vrch took place in 2019. Historical beer from Drahenice was also delivered to inns in Draheničky.

The historical site “Lety u Písku. Památník holokaustu Romů a Sintů v Čechách” is located in the vicinity of Draheničky. In the wider region around Draheničky are Hrad Zvíkov Castle, the ruins of the Radomysl Mediumwave Radio Mast, and Svatý Jan Church.

Landscape

The partially functional Hlibeňský rybník–Babí hůrka ecological corridor connects the local biocentres LBC 40 and LBC 17 and is 1,344 metres long.

Route SC4 between Draheničky and Ovčín is paved, 4 metres wide, and lined with fruit trees.

The Vinice and Štěrbina mountains are located in the vicinity of Draheničky. In the immediate vicinity of Draheničky are Chlumek Hill [Mirovice-Plíškovice] and Chlumák Hill [Uzeničky].
