Stehlovice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Stehlovice lies in the valley of the Jetětický potok at the foot of Skalice (531 m), the highest point in the surrounding area. In clear weather, Skalice offers a view of the Šumava panorama.

Nature and Trails

The Zábavná stezka is a nature-oriented walking trail through Stehlovice with 13 educational and playful stations. There are play areas for children, while adults can relax along the trail.

The Naučná stezka Vejrovského zemanství educational trail also leads through the picturesque landscape around Branice, Stehlovice and Veselíčko.

Culture and Tradition

The chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk, dating from the first half of the 19th century, stands on the village square in Stehlovice. In front of the chapel there is an iron cross on a stone pedestal from 1865.

A traditional pilgrimage is celebrated in Stehlovice on 26 July, the feast day of Saint Anne. Posvícení takes place on 16 October.

Getting Around

Railway line No. 201 runs through Stehlovice from Tábor via Milevsko, Písek and Ražice to Strakonice. At Stehlovice railway station, tickets are sold to passengers on the train, not at the station.

Cycling route No. 1152 also passes through Stehlovice. It connects Milevsko at the junction near Tyrolský dům with route No. 31.

Local Character

At the 20th edition of Pivobraní Vejrovského Zemanství, participants bring beer samples and rate them.
