Kožlí: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Kožlí is situated in a gently rolling landscape near the Vltava Valley, where the Orlík Reservoir is located today. The extensive Orlík Castle Park begins immediately beyond the village and stretches as far as the neighboring municipality of Orlík nad Vltavou.

The landscape around Kožlí is predominantly wooded and includes small fields, meadows, and wooded patches. Old avenues, particularly oak avenues, are characteristic of the area. The castle park is laid out in the English style and features mature oaks, beeches, and pines. The mountains and hills around Kožlí also include Mount Hrby, Mount Chlum, Mount Jenšovice, and Mount Vinice.

History and Culture

Orlík Castle is situated on the shore of the Orlík Reservoir and offers a visitor route. A short walk leads through Orlík Castle Park to Orlík Castle and stops at the crypt.

The neo-Gothic Schwarzenberg Crypt is located a few hundred meters from Kožlí. The historic site Lety u Písku. Memorial to the Holocaust of the Roma and Sinti in Bohemia is located nearby. Hrad Zvíkov Castle and the Church of Svatý Jan are also located in the vicinity of Kožlí. Further afield in the region is the Radomysl Mediumwave Radio Mast ruin.

Activities

Swimming is possible in the Orlík Reservoir at Velký Vír Autocamp. Pivovar Orlík Brewery offers brewery tours by prior arrangement.

From May to September, Yacht Club Barrandov rents out cabin sailboats on a charter basis in three size categories.
