Vůsí is located on a distinctive waterscape: the flooded lower course of the Hrejkovický potok forms an approximately 2 km long, curved bay of the Orlík Reservoir.

Water

The HREJKOVICKÝ POTOK 1 fishing grounds include fly fishing, float fishing and bottom fishing. The grounds begin at the boundary signs near the mouth of the Hrejkovický potok into the Orlík Reservoir near Vůsí and extend to the springs. On the Orlík waterway, the Květov/Vůsí site at river kilometre 177 is listed as a designated mooring for boats.

Nature

Near Vůsí, the Hrejkovický potok flows through a deep and unexpectedly wild valley that is a popular destination for hitchhikers. There is also a rock cave in the vicinity of Vůsí, about 1 km south of the village on the Hrejkovický potok; the adjacent path is heavily used by tourists. The Rukávečská game preserve is protected because of its surviving old beech stand. The oldest trees there were planted in 1729.

Culture and History

The Church of St Bartholomew is located in the cadastral area of Vůsí. The Romanesque church stands in the vicinity of the village, together with an old cemetery, and forms an important urban-planning and landscape-defining element. In 1960, it was relocated from the flooded village of Červená to a higher site.
