Culture and History

The Božetice Museum is a museum dedicated to milling, baking and agriculture. The first mention of a mill in Božetice dates from the first half of the 16th century, while references to baking go back to the 19th century.

To the west of Božetice, a niche chapel stands in the fields; it was probably built around 1760 by the Zurka family. During the last restoration, carried out in 2010, an original fresco was discovered.

The Chapel of the Holy Trinity contains a painting of the Holy Trinity, probably painted in 1845 by Mr Skala from Písek.

The railway bridge is a massive stone structure with ten arches and was built in 1889. It is located in the cadastral areas of Sepekov and Božetice, south of Kvěchov Mill. The railway bridge in the cadastral areas of Sepekov and Božetice is a cultural monument.

Nature and Routes

The Smutná stream flows through Božetice. In the built-up northeastern part of Božetice stands the Božetická lípa memorial tree. Božetice also has a local outdoor swimming pool.

Cycle route no. 1153 from Chyšky to Staré Sedlo passes through Božetice. A yellow-marked hiking trail also runs through Božetice on the route from Malšice via Stádlec, Sepekov, Vlksice, Nadějkov, Sedlec-Prčice and Heřmaničky.
