Veselíčko: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Two sites associated with Josef Bretfeld are the focal points at Veselíčko Castle: in 1798, he established a St. Anne’s Chapel there, and he created an English landscape garden at the castle and below the pond dam.
Culture
The castle chapel was extended in 1801 and opened to ordinary worshippers. The Church of St. Anne in Veselíčko is a building dating from 1851; it was consecrated from 9 to 11 September 1854. In front of the church stand two sandstone statues of Saint John of Nepomuk and Saint Erasmus the Martyr. There is also a cross with the crucified Christ dating from 1910.
The family crypt of the Nádherný lords, Knights of Borutín, in the castle grounds of Veselíčko is a cultural monument of the Písek region. It was completed on 11 August 1892. In Veselíčko, the Nádherný crypt is considered the only surviving memorial to Emil Nádherný.
