The origins of Králova Lhota are associated with the clearing of forests in the 13th century and the founding of new villages called Lhoty. The name Králova Lhota derives from the fact that the settlement belonged to the royal bailiwick in Lety. On 20 January 1421, Emperor Sigismund separated Králova Lhota from the royal estate and granted it to Matěj Brus of Kovářov.
