The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk is located approximately in the middle of the village and is connected with a possible fortification. It stands on an island in a small pond, which may be a former moat.
Culture and History
The Pamětice memorial to the victims of the First World War was created in 1921 by the stonemason František Ircka. It includes a medallion depicting the suffering Christ, associated with photographs of the fallen. The local history also includes the Pamětice Volunteer Fire Brigade SDH, founded in 1896 as a joint fire brigade for Pamětice, Drhovle, and Dubí Hora.
Landscape and Surroundings
The Radomysl Mediumwave Radio Mast facility, considered a ruin, is located in the vicinity of Pamětice. Mount Chlum is also located nearby. The surrounding area also includes the hill Na Homoli [Drhovle], the hill Hájič [Drhovle-Pamětice], and the hill Na Koši [Předotice-Kožlí].
The area around Drhovle is suitable for hiking and cycling. The wider regional area includes Hrad Zvíkov Castle, the historical site “Lety u Písku. Memorial to the Holocaust of Roma and Sinti in Bohemia,” and the Church of Svatý Jan.
Festivals and Local Traditions
During the Staročeské máje festival in Pamětice, the procession in traditional costumes visits the homes of young couples. After the procession, the festival moved to Hospůdka Na Skalce.
