Varvazov: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The road bridge of Varvazov is located in the western district of U Mostu on the through road 1219 and includes a wayside chapel with a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk. This wayside chapel lies west of Varvazov on the road to the hamlet of Most and forms a distinctive landscape feature there. It is a rendered brick building with a rectangular floor plan; at the rear, it is extended by a chamfered supporting section.

Buildings and history

The watermill of Varvazov, together with the adjoining residential building, is located in the valley of the Skalice in the U Mostu area. On the Skalice, it is an important urban element.

The Church of Saint Catherine in Varvazov was probably built as a Gothic church in the second half of the 13th century and has an Early Gothic chancel.

Varvažov Castle was built in 1760 in the Baroque style, possibly on the site of an older fortress.
