Štědronín-Plazy: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Within the protected area of the state-owned Zvíkov Castle, wooded valleys and the water surface at the confluence of the Vltava and Otava rivers offer distant views of Zvíkov Castle. Štědronín-Plazy is also part of this protected area.
Water and leisure
Otava Boat Rental offers Vydra, Roka and Samba canoes as well as Colorado rafts for trips on the Otava. During an organised stay at the Štědronín recreation centre, visitors used the sports facilities and swam in a swimming pool.
Activities
The Sedláček Trail runs along the Otava from Písek to Zvíkov and is 25 kilometres long. Since 2006, the trail has been renewed along an altered, 35-kilometre route as Cycle Route No. 1225 for shared use by pedestrians and cyclists. The route passes through Štědronín to the road bridge over the Otava; the easy walking time is 4 hours and 30 minutes.
Events
The annual fishing camp “Tábor s vodníkem” takes place at the Počta – Štědronín recreation centre on the shore of the Orlík Reservoir. The weekly programme included team competitions in fish identification and fishing techniques. Night fishing was also part of the weekly programme; according to the weekly schedule, it took place every other day.
History
The Štědronín-Plazy monument was ceremonially unveiled on 25 May 1947.
