Hiking and Trails

Slavkovice lies on a marked red hiking trail that runs from Myštice via Kožlí, Pohoří, Slavkovice, Kakovice and Horosedly to Mirovice. The trail connects Slavkovice with Pohoří, Kakovice, Horosedly and Mirovice.

Culture and History

Slavkovice is home to an immovable Baroque statue of Saint John of Nepomuk from the second half of the 18th century, protected as a cultural monument.

After 1830, Slavkovice and Slavkovická Hora became part of the Schwarzenberg-Orlík estate through inheritance.

Landscape and Cycling Tours

GPX and KML files are available for navigation on the published cycling tour from Čimelice to Březnice.

The area around Mišovice features a picturesque landscape with numerous small sacred architectural and landscape monuments, including chapels, wayside shrines and crosses. There are also numerous roads and paths.

Archaeological Traces

Several kilometres southeast of Pohoří, the ruins of a Late Hallstatt hillfort associated with Celtic settlement lie on Hrad Hill. Several Late Hallstatt burial mounds are located in the forest on Malý Kosatín Hill; they lie approximately 1 km south of Hrad.

Classification

For Slavkovice, the planning documents provide only for additions to the settlement structure without any substantial changes. The chateau in Drahenice is not open to the public.
