Ratiborské Hory: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Ratibořské Hory is closely associated with silver mining. From 1526 onward, the development of the town was linked to silver mining; for several centuries, Ratibořské Hory depended on mining. Traces of historical mining have been preserved in the town.

Mining and History

The protected, abandoned ore mine lies south and southeast of Ratibořské Hory, in a strip between the Ratibořský stream and the Tábor–Mladá Vožice road. Silver was initially mined in the Tří Králů mine in the region.

Culture

One of the defining religious buildings is the Church of St. Adalbert in Ratibořské Hory, a Baroque structure built between 1720 and 1722. The village is also home to the Návesní Chapel, which dates from the second half of the 18th century.

Ohrazenice Castle was converted from an earlier fortress into a two-winged, single-storey Renaissance château between 1778 and 1780.

Landscape and Trails

The Homole viewpoint is located on the 666-metre-high Homole mountain and offers a wide view of the surrounding landscape. From Dub, the viewpoint can be reached via the red-marked hiking trail. In Podolí, a district of the municipality of Ratibořské Hory, the Stříbrná osmička educational trail also begins.

In the vicinity of Ratibořské Hory lies the mountain (K Doubravě) [Radenín-Bítov]. The Church of St. Anne is located nearby. In the wider regional area are the mountains Hora, Smrčí and Vrchy, as well as the churches of Svatý Jan and Loreta.
