Měšice Chateau is a Baroque chateau converted from a Renaissance fortress dating from 1545. It can be visited year-round from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. by groups of at least five people, provided an appointment is arranged in advance by telephone. During guided tours, the owners show visitors how they live and work in the chateau today. In May, the Měšice International Festival regularly takes place by the 350-year-old lime tree in front of the chateau’s south façade.

Culture and History

The Chapel of St. Anne stands in a wooded area on Měšický vršek. Měšický vršek is also known as Svatá Anna in Měšice near Tábor. Svatá Anna, which is recorded as a church, is also located in the immediate vicinity of Měšice.

Nature and Trails

Lom Svatá Anna is a nature show garden established in a former quarry in Tábor-Měšice. It comprises several biotopes and was created after the former quarry was cleaned and revitalized.

The South Bohemian Way of St. James follows Cycle Route D through Měšice to two railway bridges, then continues along Cycle Route B towards Tábor railway station. The second stage of the South Bohemian Way of St. James leads from Mladá Vožice to Tábor-Klokoty and is 28.6 km long. The “Na Kozí Hrádek a Harrachovku” cycle route continues through Měšice to Kozí Hrádek.
