Krtov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The first written mention of Krtov dates back to 1379. Until 1709, the village belonged to the Choustník estate, and subsequently to Radenín. Chýnov railway station is 9 km from Krtov.

History and Culture

A chapel is located in Krtov village square and is listed as a protected cultural monument under registration number 4885. The central village square itself is designated as a space to be preserved; the character of the surrounding buildings is to be respected. The Church of Saint Anne is located near Krtov, while the Church of Saint John lies in the wider surrounding region.

Landscape

Krtov’s natural landscape setting includes watercourse valleys, ponds, and forest areas. Their natural character is to be preserved, and access to public areas is to be encouraged. Places with long-distance views are designated as landscape values.

The mountain Hora is located in the vicinity of Krtov. The mountains Podstupský vrch, Tlučin, and Vrchy are also located near the village.

Paths and Leisure

Since November 2016, the forest path from Krtov has been open to pedestrians and cyclists. It leads from Road 4093 near Dlouhá Lhota through Lipnice Forest. The “Blaník” cycling route also passes through Krtov. There is also a landscaped outdoor swimming pool in the village.
