The municipal area of Radimovice u Tábora is home to a cascade of eight ponds, which significantly shapes the character of the local landscape. The landscape in the surrounding area is also characterised by numerous forests.

Nature

The Košínská reservoir is almost two kilometres long and serves as a regulating water reservoir for Tábor's Jordán pond. During the summer months, it is a popular attraction for the residents of Radimovice u Tábora and the surrounding municipalities.

History

The first written mention of Radimovice u Tábora dates back to 1219. The fortress of Radimovice u Tábora was probably built in the 14th century. During a partial examination of the Radimovice fortress grounds in 1905, a piece of an iron gauntlet, a key handle with Gothic decoration, and a fragment of a 15th-century knife were found.

According to local legend, a bell from the former fortress lies buried in Podedvorný pond.

Getting Around

Numerous hiking trails pass through Radimovice u Tábora. Cycle Route No. 11 also passes through the village.

Transport Connections

A regular bus service connects Radimovice u Tábora with Tábor. There is a train connection from nearby Nasavrky.
