Řemíčov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Řemíčov is closely linked to the history of silver mining. The first written mention of the village dates back to 1456. Silver ore mining began in its surroundings under František Küenburg in the mid-18th century. Between 1757 and 1762, the Küenburgs extracted 2,713 kg of pure silver from the Řemíčov mines.
History of Silver Mining
Several traces of this mining history are associated with specific places. The Leopoldova štola adit was opened in Řemíčov near house no. 1. A marble plaque on house no. 1 commemorates the silver works established there in 1751. House no. 1 originally served as the residence of the mining official in charge, as accommodation for miners, and for other operational purposes related to mining.
South of Řemíčov, the Sv. Trojice štola adit was established at the site where the mining settlement of Starý Cech was later founded.
