Haškovcova Lhota: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Around Haškovcova Lhota, an archaeological educational trail can be walked as an approximately 15-kilometre excursion on both sides of the Smutná stream. Below Haškovcova Lhota, it crosses the Smutná via a footbridge and comprises a total of seven information stations.

Landscape

The landscape around Haškovcova Lhota is bounded by the Lužnice to the east and the Smutná stream to the west. The area around the village consists of fields, meadows and forests.

At the entrance to Haškovcova Lhota, near house no. 1, stands a linden tree considered to be the oldest tree in the village. Its age is unknown; judging by the trunk circumference, however, it is clearly older than the two chestnut trees planted in 1887.

Village history

A chapel with a bell, built in 1856, stands on the village green of Haškovcova Lhota. The bell is in working order and rings every Sunday at 12 noon.

A historic trade route ran through Haškovcova Lhota from Mirotice via Orlík, Milevsko, Sepekov, Hánov, Srlín, Rataje and Bechyně to Soběslav. South of Haškovcova Lhota, there is also a wayside shrine dating from around the first half of the 19th century.

Village green

From 12 December 2022, bus services on line 390 248 between Bechyně and Opařany served the village green of Haškovcova Lhota. The playground there was built in accordance with the order and had served its intended purpose since November of the previous year.
