Krašlovice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Krašlovice tells its story through dates, place names and traces in the landscape. At the same time, rivers, natural areas and paths lead through different facets of the locality.

History

The first historical document mentioning Krašlovice and Vitice dates from 30 January 1262. On the same day, King Přemysl Otakar II handed over Krašlovice and Vitice, including fields, forests and mills, to the Benedictine Convent of St. George. The Convent of St. George owned Krašlovice and Vitice until the Hussite Wars.

At the summit of Hrad, there is evidence of an archaeologically documented fortified settlement dating from the Bronze Age. This fortified settlement was used by Celtic communities.

Landscape

The Blanice River flows through Krašlovice. Within the municipality, the Blanice divides into the Blanice and the Stará řeka. There are several weirs in the valley of the Stará řeka. The planned Svobodná hora Nature Park extends into the Krašlovice area from the south.

To the north of Krašlovice is a hilly, predominantly forested landscape. There are also waterlogged areas within the municipality.

Paths and transport

Numerous hiking and cycling trails run through Krašlovice. Cycle route No. 1073 leads from Vodňany through Krašlovice. There are bus stops in the village of Krašlovice and on the border with Vodňany.
