Hrazany: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
In the center of Hrazany stands the chapel dedicated to the Holy Spirit. It was built in 1926 and extensively renovated in 2003. The Angelus bells ring regularly from there in the morning and evening.
Culture and History
Hrazany is home to memorial linden trees planted in honor of the Jubilee Exhibition in Prague in 1891. Several stone crosses are among the monuments in the village. A memorial stone in Hrazany’s village square commemorates Soviet troops under Marshal Malinovsky, who rested there on May 11 and 12, 1945. Several traditional timber-framed wooden buildings, now privately owned, are also part of the villagescape.
Two crosses near Hrazany were each carved from a single stone. One of the stone crosses is more than a meter high and bears engravings of a sword and a tailor’s scissors.
