Nature

A wayside cross is recorded in Horní Poříčí in the direction of Střelské Hoštice.

Culture

The Chapel of St. Mary Magdalene stands in the village square in the center of Horní Poříčí. It was built in the vernacular Baroque style and dates from 1830. The chapel’s heritage protection also covers the cross in front of the chapel and the associated plot of land.

Another protected landmark is Žižkův most. The single-arch stone bridge is protected as a cultural monument and probably dates from the 17th century.

The Kubešův, also known as Šebestovský, Mill dates from around 1700 and is now used for recreational purposes as the Kubešův mlýn guesthouse.

Routes and activities

The Kněží hora educational trail ends in Horní Poříčí at the foot of Katovická hora by the Březový potok signpost. The 20 km “Za perlou Otavy” route between Strakonice and Střelské Hoštice also passes through the village.

The Otavská cyklistická cesta No. 1066 runs along the Otava. The Otava is used for sport fishing and water sports.
