Nature

The Židova strouha Nature Monument encompasses part of the cadastral area of Hodonice u Bechyně. This protected natural area includes a deeply incised, gorge-like valley with entrenched meanders and water-eroded rock walls.

The Židova strouha geotope can be reached via a walkable tourist trail that runs more than 250 metres from the road. It stretches along the stream from the Hodonice–Nuzice field road to its confluence with the Lužnice; the section described lies between 0.8 km west and 2.5 km northwest of Hodonice.

Kopanina Hill [Hodonice u Bechyně] and the hill (K Čečkovu) [Březnice u Bechyně] are located in the vicinity of Hodonice. In the wider regional surroundings of Hodonice are Zdoba Mountain and Ulčí vrch Mountain.

On the Way

Cycle Route 1098 passes through Hodonice on the way back from Bechyně.

Culture

The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk in Hodonice was renovated in 2008. The Hodonice Volunteer Fire Brigade holds the annual Memoriál Václava Drdy.
