Dvorce: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The history of Dvorce dates back to the first half of the 14th century: at that time, there was a manor farm and a fortress here.

History

The fortress of Dvorce stood on elevated ground on the southern edge of the village. It was first mentioned in 1350 as the property of Jindřich ze Dvorce. From 1698 onwards, the Dvorce estate was connected with the Brandlín estate.

Culture

The chapel in Dvorce is dedicated to Saint Adalbert. Its old bell hung in the chapel for 241 years and was replaced by a new one in 2014.

Several memorials also form part of the village landscape. Next to the granary stands a cross commemorating the soldiers who fell in the Carpathians. On the western edge of Dvorce, another cross commemorates Josef Kouba, who died at the age of 24 during the First World War. The wayside chapel stands on the right-hand side of the road towards Soběslav.

The mountains of Hora, Hůrka, Podstupský vrch and Cihadlo lie in the area surrounding Dvorce.
