Between ponds and at the foot of the first foothills of the Blanský les lies Dubné in a picturesque landscape. The village combines natural surroundings with a remarkable ecclesiastical history.

Culture and History

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was converted in 1525 into a two-nave church with a net vault supported by three pillars. Its presbytery is mentioned as early as the 14th century. The church contains Renaissance tombstones from the 16th and early 17th centuries. They come from the former crypt, where members of local knightly families were buried. The surviving cemetery wall around the church grounds is protected as a cultural monument.

The parish complex includes a two-storey granary built in 1749; the entire parish complex is protected as a historic monument. Dubné also has several preserved agricultural farmsteads dating from the second half of the 19th century.

Landscape and Trails

The landscape around Dubné, with its numerous ponds, dikes, forests, and viewpoints, is particularly suitable for hiking and cycling tours. A yellow-marked hiking trail runs through Dubné.

In Kotlov Forest, about 2 km southwest of the village centre, a group of burial mounds from the Early Bronze Age and the Hallstatt period can be seen.
