Tlučná: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

A wayside cross with a year carved into it offers a glimpse into Tlučná’s history. This townscape is complemented by a listed heritage complex, an early documentary mention, and several facilities for leisure and exercise.

History

At the corner of the cemetery stands the Boží muka, a wayside shrine regarded as the oldest monument in Tlučná; the year 1079 is carved into the monument. In the centre of Tlučná, north of the Plzeň–Domažlice railway line, lies the listed heritage complex Panský dvůr s kaplí. Of the originally listed site, only underground rooms beneath the former fortress, a Neoclassical granary, and a Neo-Gothic chapel remain.

The first written mention of Tlučná is recorded in a document from 1115. The Přemyslid prince Vladislav I donated the village to the newly founded Benedictine monastery in Kladruby, thereby obliging the monastery to protect the village.

Leisure

Krimich Park covers an area of 3.5 hectares with plantings of trees and shrubs established in the built-up area of Tlučná to improve recreational opportunities. On 9 September 2021, a new mining-themed children’s playground was ceremonially opened there, referring to Tlučná’s mining past. In 2022, disc golf baskets were installed in Krimich Park.

Koupaliště Tlučná has a main pool measuring 50 × 25 metres; Koupaliště Tlučná also includes a water slide.

Cycling

The cycle path between Tlučná and Vejprnice runs through the Vejprnický potok valley and is connected to the existing cycle network.
