Culture and History

The preserved remains of Bělá Castle offer beautiful views of Dolní Bělá and the surrounding landscape. The ruins of Bělá Castle are situated on a rocky spur above the Bělá stream. The ruins include a moat, a massive rampart, a semicircular earthwork and a fragment of the castle core wall supported by three buttresses. The ruins of Bělá Castle have been listed as a cultural monument since 1958.

The Hus Chapel is a Protestant religious building in the Functionalist style dating from 1938–1939 and has been protected as a historic monument since 2012. The Chapel of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary is located on the cadastral boundary with the municipality of Horní Bělá; it has been listed as a cultural monument since 2003.

Trails and Landscape

The Ludvík Otčenášek educational trail is 13 kilometres long, has 15 stops, runs through the cadastral area of Dolní Bělá and ends there. It is accessible year-round, well maintained, marked with green hiking signs and suitable for hikers and cyclists.

A green-marked hiking route leads into the cadastral area of Dolní Bělá and partly follows the Ludvík Otčenášek educational trail. Cycling Route 35A runs through the cadastral area of Dolní Bělá and is part of the Baroko cycling routes.
