Přehýšov is home to the Chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary, built in 1893. The single-nave building has a five-sided presbytery and a tower on the façade. Some of the presbytery windows contain preserved colourful, mosaic-like stained-glass windows; the chapel also has its original altar with an image of the Virgin Mary.
History
Přehýsov was first mentioned in a document from 1248. After the mid-14th century, the settlement was owned by Chotěšov Monastery.
Village Character
Several factory buildings dating from after 1900 have been preserved in Přehýsov. Numerous predominantly late-Classical farmsteads, often with vaulted gateways, stand on the edge of Přehýsov’s unusually large built-up village green. Přehýsov also has embankments protecting ammunition depots.
Přehýsov’s official V OBRAZE mobile application is intended for residents and visitors and provides timely information about local events. An official family cycling trip took a 9.1 km route around Zbůch and included a visit to Chotěšov Monastery.
Nature
At Přehýsovský Pond, a beaver built its first dam on a tributary, flooding adjacent properties.
