Mladotice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

At the southwestern edge of the cadastral area of Mladotice, the Střela forms a valley that in places gives way to a deep gorge with rock formations and beautiful viewpoints. Mladotice lies in the floodplain of the Mladotický potok.

Nature and Landscape

Berdovna Mountain and Vladař Mountain are located in the vicinity of Mladotice. Nearby are the hill Pod Březinou [Potvorov] and the hill Na Babce [Kralovice-Bukovina].

A green hiking trail runs along the Střela, passing Mladotice zastávka and the Podrázský Mill.

Trails and History

The educational trail near Mladotice starts in the village square, is 2.3 kilometres long, and is suitable for pushchairs and bicycles. It presents the 500-year history of one of the largest ponds in the region and the circumstances of its destruction, which was caused by exceptional rainfall followed by flooding in May 1872.

The 37-kilometre Baroko I cycle route runs through Mladotice and connects Mariánský Týnec, the Chapel of the Name of the Virgin Mary in Mladotice, and the Kalec farmstead. Mladotice zast. railway station is integrated into the integrated transport system.

Architectural Heritage and History

The Chapel of the Name of the Virgin Mary uses recurring star motifs in its geometric design, dome, lantern, and interior. The Chapel of the Virgin Mary in Mladotice is a Baroque building by J. B. Santini dating from 1708–1710, with a central hexagonal ground plan and a lantern.

The wider regional surroundings of Mladotice include the “Zřícenina Lina” ruins, the Svatý Prokop monument, Novy Dvur Monastery, and the Church of Svatý Martin.
