Culture

A notable connection to Czech art history is Václav Brožík: The important Czech painter was born on 5 March 1851 in Hamr, in house no. 57 in Třemošná. His birthplace is also located in Třemošná.

The four-sided chapel of Třemošná stands on the village square. It was built between 1853 and 1855 and consecrated on 14 June 1857. The railway bridge over the Třemošenka, which was put into operation on 1 May 1872 and built by the Italian master builder Pietro Righini, is part of the town’s technical history.

The Plzen Barholomaeus Cathedral church is located in the surroundings of Třemošná. In the wider regional area, there are also the Svatý Martin church and the U Svatého Petra church.

Activities

For cyclists, the 4 km-long Plzeň-Bolevec–Třemošná cycle path runs from Bolevec railway station to Třemošná through pleasant, forest-rich surroundings.

Sport Aréna Třemošná offers public skating. Its ice rink operates year-round.

The 54th Třemošenská padesátka is scheduled for Saturday, 3 October 2026. The start and finish are at the KČT clubhouse in the TJ Tatran Třemošná complex; the event includes routes for hikers and cycling tourists.
