Zahrádka: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

At the heart of Zahrádka is the irregularly shaped village square, which remains the central public space of the village to this day. The chapel dedicated to Saint John and Saint Paul stands on the square; it was built by Petr Wagner in 1782.

Villagescape and history

The first written record of Zahrádka dates back to 1379. Some farmhouses retain architectural façade elements from the first third of the 20th century. On the southern edge of Zahrádka, on the road to Všeruby, stands the former Czech minority school building, constructed in 1926.

Landscape and trails

The Zahrádka u Všerub water reservoir lies opposite the chapel on the other side of the road. Cycle Route 2293 passes through Zahrádka and connects Hůrky with Mostice. The dense forests around Zahrádka are visited for mushroom and bilberry picking. In the surrounding area, the Hůrky Nature Reserve protects a mosaic of preserved raised and lowland bogs as well as wet alder forests with endangered plant species.

Public places

The public area behind the Zahrádka fire station features a large children's playground and an outdoor fitness area. At the bus stop in front of the local shop in Zahrádka, there is a newly installed book box for exchanging books.
