Potvorov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
In Potvorov stands the Church of St. Nicholas, a unique fortified late Romanesque gallery church.
Culture and History
At a crossroads on the southern outskirts of Potvorov stands a stone wayside shrine dating from 1750. About 400 metres beyond Potvorov, on the road to Žihle, there is a stone atonement cross that belongs to a valuable group of small monuments. A boundary post on the village square commemorates the fact that, in the second quarter of the 19th century, it marked the boundary between the Rabštejn and Plasy estates.
Potvorov is also home to a well-preserved log house, one of the oldest types of building. The vicarage is a late Baroque building belonging to the group of buildings of Plasy Monastery.
