Výrov: Holiday Apartments and Houses

Due to its authentic Baroque layout and high-quality construction, the Sechutice farmstead is one of the most valuable and best-preserved farmsteads of Plasy Monastery. The Sechutice farmstead in Hadačka, Výrov, forms a large rectangular complex with a dominant granary, two gates, long stable and livestock wings, and a barn with three threshing floors. There is also a stone memorial cross on the grounds.

History

The first written record of Výrov dates back to 1307. The village was probably founded as early as around 1300. However, its history has also seen profound upheavals: during the Thirty Years' War, much of Výrov was burned down after Swedish raids in 1639. A monument to the fallen stands in front of House No. 30.

Culture

The local history also includes the Chapel of St. Adalbert in Výrov. It was built in 1901 with contributions and the support of all local residents as well as people who originated from Výrov. The founding of the Výrov-Hadačka Volunteer Fire Brigade has also been documented in writing since 1901. Its early cultural activities included carnival processions and social gatherings; the annual program includes Masopust.

Cycling Routes

Výrov and Sechutice lie along the 37-kilometre “Baroko I” cycling route. The “Po stopách cisterciáků” cycling route also passes through both villages.
