Hlince: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Hlince lies on the left bank of the Berounka River in a wooded, touristically attractive landscape. It is suitable for hiking, water-based, horse-riding and cycling tourism.

Landscape and Nature

Hlince is part of the Berounka Nature Park. The nature park protects the preserved landscape character of the Berounka Valley, with rock outcrops, adjoining forests, agricultural land and a historic settlement structure.

The “Lipová alej republiky” is a double avenue of small-leaved lime trees (Tilia cordata) along the road from Hlince to the settlement of Ptyč (Park Berne).

The Na Chocholouši hill [Hlince] and the hill (Nad hřbitovem) [Kladruby-Hřešihlavy] are located in the immediate vicinity of Hlince. In the wider regional area around Hlince are Holý vrch mountain, Hřeben mountain and the ruins of Valdek Castle.

Cycling

“Hlineckým rájem” is a recurring community cycling tour organized by the Municipality of Hlince and the local volunteer fire brigade on the second Saturday in September. It includes cycling routes of approximately 30, 41 and 57 kilometres.

Culture and History

A 19th-century chapel is the focal point of the view across Hlince village square. The reconstructed wayside niche chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows received an award on 28 July 2018 at the regional round of the “Golden Brick in the Rural Renewal Programme” competition in Kamenný Újezd.

The Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Dolany near Hlince, together with the surrounding properties, is protected as an immovable cultural monument. The Church of Saints Peter and Paul regularly hosts pilgrimages dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul, concerts and exhibitions.

The Church of St. Peter, the Church of St. Martin and the ruins of Týřov are located in the surroundings of Hlince.
