Česká Bříza: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

A particularly distinctive feature of Česká Bříza is the hexagonal Chapel of St. Peter and Paul, dating from 1808. To this day, it is protected by the “Lípa Svobody” planted in 1945 – a village scene in which the building and the established rural setting are closely intertwined.

Culture and village character

The village green of Česká Bříza includes a pond and birch trees. In 1922, the first film version of “The Bartered Bride” was filmed there. The Rybník Česká Bříza pond covers 0.8 hectares and is part of the Třemošenka 1/R fishing area.

Transport connections with the surrounding municipalities are integrated into the Integrated Transport System of the Plzeňský kraj. Česká Bříza also has a multi-purpose court and a children's playground.

The 49-kilometre cycling tour “Bývalý dřevěný hrádek u Českobřízského mlýna” passes through Česká Bříza. On the “Nádraží Horní Bříza z Plzně na kole” cycling tour, the terrain includes field and forest paths.

The SDH’s most recent activity took place on 22 June as the traditional “Noční jízda” in Česká Bříza. The route of the “Noční jízda” led from Česká Bříza via Zruč-Senec, Druztová, Dolany, Kostelec, Planá, Chotíny, Žichlice and Hromnice back to Česká Bříza.
