Újezd nade Mží is first mentioned in writing in a forged founding charter of Kladruby Monastery from 1115 and in a charter of Teplá Monastery from 1242. Cellars and parts of the surrounding walls have survived from the original Renaissance fortress.

The park of Zámecký statek Újezd nade Mží is open to the public.
