Vysoké Mýto: Holiday apartments and houses

Vysoké Mýto showcases its history at the Pražská brána, the best-preserved of Vysoké Mýto’s historic city gates. Its tall tower serves as a viewing tower and is open to the public. In good visibility, the Krkonoše Mountains, the Orlické Mountains and the Králický Sněžník Mountains can be seen from the viewing tower.

Culture and history

Construction of the Church of St. Lawrence began as early as the founding of Vysoké Mýto; at the beginning of the 14th century, it was elevated to a deanery church. It features Art Nouveau furnishings with numerous figurative scenes from the workshop of painter Karel Vítězslav Mašek. The church also contains a Late Gothic baptismal font dating from 1499.

Leisure and technology

The public Tyršova swimming pool has a 106 × 60-metre water area as well as an additional 50 × 12-metre swimming pool. Since 2026, the Krajské technické muzeum Vysoké Mýto has been a modern technology-focused institution in the Pardubice Region. Its interactive elements make it an attractive destination for children and adults.

At the Vysoké Mýto Autodrom, go-karts are available for hire for children and adults. The autodrome also hosts numerous international karting and motorcycle races.

Paths and landscape

The urban loop of the Vysoké Mýto educational trail is 1.2 kilometres long and runs in a ring through the city parks in the historic centre. The approximately 9-kilometre nature loop of the educational trail leads from Vysoké Mýto into the surrounding forests and through the diverse landscape and nature around the city.

An almost 20-kilometre route of the educational trail leads from the historic centre of Vysoké Mýto, past the Church of St. Lawrence, via Knířov, the chapel above Vanice, Sedlec and Vraclav, and back to Vysoké Mýto.
