Vlckovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The nearby Studenské skály rocks lie approximately 2 km south of Vlčkovice and can be reached via a walkable hiking trail. They form a rocky gorge that is approximately 20 m high in places.

Trails and Routes

A red-marked hiking trail passes through Vlčkovice. In addition, the 40 km route of the “Toulání kolem Orlice” event passes through the village.

The Mladkov–Letohrad route via Studený vrch passes through Vlčkovice and then climbs up to Studený vrch. It is also suitable for cycling.

Culture and Tradition

The expiatory cross “Smírčí kříž ve Vlčkovicích” is located in the cadastral area of Vlčkovice u Mladkova. It bears an inscription with the year 1750; the lower part features a relief of a skull and crossed bones.

Church services are held in the Chapel of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Vlčkovice on the second Saturday of each month: at 5:00 p.m. during standard time and at 7:00 p.m. during daylight saving time.

As part of the annual “Stavění máje” tradition, residents gather in the village square of Vlčkovice on April 30 to decorate and erect a maypole.
