Koldín: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Koldín lies among meadows, ponds and mixed forests. East of the village, in a forest 1.3 kilometres from Koldín, lies the Chlumek fortified site.
Landscape and History
The Chlumek fortified site preserves traces of a presumably rectangular tower measuring approximately 10 × 9 metres. There is also a ditch up to 3 metres deep and a broad rampart that is damaged in places. The terrain relief of the fortified site is well preserved.
Koldín Château dates from the early 17th century. It was built near a fortress that has not survived to the present day. A cross dating from 1889 stands beside the chapel.
Things to Do
The cycle route from Vysoké Mýto to Sudslava passes through Koldín. The Choceň Educational Trail also runs through the village and is suitable for cyclists and hikers.
The Choceň Educational Trail is 35 kilometres long and comprises two circular routes of 16 and 19 kilometres respectively, as well as an approximately 3-kilometre circular walking trail near Kostelecké Horky. It is well signposted and equipped with 19 information boards.
