Jablonne Nad Orlici: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Jablonné nad Orlicí is home to historic landmarks, signposted trails, the Hradiska climbing area, an outdoor swimming pool and the Malák ski resort. The railway line between Ústí nad Orlicí and Lichkov also runs through the town.

Culture

The central square in the urban heritage conservation area of Jablonné nad Orlicí is lined with historic buildings. In the middle of the town square stands the Immaculata, a late-Baroque statue of the Virgin Mary dating from 1748. A stone bridge over the Tichá Orlice dates from 1840 and is adorned with statues of Saint John of Nepomuk and Saint Florian.

The Church of Saint Bartholomew also has deep roots in the town's history: the church and its associated parish were first mentioned in 1370. The church's present-day tower was completed in 1680.

Nature

From the Jablonné nad Orlicí outdoor swimming pool, you can set off on an excursion into the valley known as Hradiska. The outdoor pool at Jablonné nad Orlicí measures 76 × 30 metres. In the Hradiska Valley, the Orličkovský potok meanders between meadows, steep slopes and rocks.

Climbing on the rocks is possible 100 m from the outdoor swimming pool, on the edge of the Hradiska Valley. The Hradiska climbing area is located in a narrow valley of the Orličský potok on the road out of Jablonné nad Orlicí towards Orličky and comprises gneiss rocks on both banks of the stream. The most attractive climbing rocks in the Hradiska area are considered to be Žižkova skála with Velká plotna, also known as Placka, and Vlčí Tlama.

Leisure

The circular walking trail “Po stopách mlsného medvěda” is approximately 4.5 km long. Jiráskova cesta is an important signposted hiking trail in the area surrounding the town. For cycling tours, cycle route 4074 starts at the town square of Jablonné nad Orlicí and follows an uphill paved farm road towards Jamné nad Orlicí.

The Malák ski resort is located close to the town, 300 m west of the centre of Jablonné nad Orlicí. It has two ski lifts and three ski slopes, as well as lighting for night-time operation and a ski school.
