Janovicky: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Janovičky combine a flat village landscape with the Loučná, an integral part of the locality and its surroundings. Between the village green, chapel, fire station, and existing cycling, hiking, and paddling routes, a village character emerges that is shaped as much by small architectural details as by communal traditions.
Village Character
Janovičky are situated in flat terrain. The village consists of smaller cottages as well as larger farmsteads along a triangular village green with a chapel. A bell tower stands in the middle of the village green; a small fire station was also built there. The Chapel of the Virgin Mary has an almost square floor plan. A cross and a relief of the Madonna are located in the niche on its front, and it is crowned by a small tower with windows.
River and Routes
The Loučná River forms most of the boundary of Janovičky. Because of possible flooding of the Loučná, the properties in this part of Janovičky were considered disadvantageous. Roads connect Janovičky with Radhošť and Vraclav. Cycle Route 4186 runs from Dobříkov via Zámrsk and Janovičky to Malejov. A hiking route from Zámrsk to Radhošť along the Loučná passes through Janovičky. A 25-kilometre section of the Loučná from Janovičky to Sezemice is also designated with a difficulty rating of ZW to WW I.
Community
The Janovičky Volunteer Fire Brigade was founded in 1924. The community events it organizes include Čarodějnice. The Janovičky Volunteer Fire Brigade prepared for the district's annual firefighting sports competitions and qualified for the regional round repeatedly. Depending on the children's interest, the Janovičky Volunteer Fire Brigade offers a youth firefighting group. A children's playground is located at the railway station in the Janovičky district.
Culinary Traditions
The community events organized by the Janovičky Volunteer Fire Brigade include Zabijačkové hody; for 23 November 2019, the Janovičky Volunteer Fire Brigade invited people to this event at the Janovičky fire station. At the Bramborákové hody announced for 7 October 2017 at the Janovičky fire station, four varieties of potato specialties were to be offered. At a Řízkobraní at the Janovičky fire station, various types of schnitzel, traditional drinks, and competitions for children were offered.
