Culture and history

Rviště is also home to the Lourdes Grotto with a statue of the Virgin Mary; it dates from 1893. Rviště was first documented in 1399 as part of the Brandýs nad Orlicí estate.

Rviště is considered a village between three hills. The Orlice Nature Park extends into the cadastral area of Rviště. Mount Řetová is located in the vicinity of Rviště. The Roveň hill is located in the immediate vicinity of Rviště. The mountains Velká Suchá and Strýc are located in the wider regional surroundings of Rviště.

Routes

The 13 km hiking route “Vyhlídky Orlického Podhůří” leads between Zátvor and Dobrá Voda, passing the wooden bell tower of Rviště. Cycle route No. 4046 also passes through Rviště. The 20 km cycling tour “Za kamennou krásou Orlického Podhůří” runs between the “roubená zvonice” in Rviště and the point of sale in Rviště.
