History and Traces

The “Vlčí jámy” in Vlčí Habřina are the remains of wolf enclosures dating from the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. The first wolf pit is almost 3 metres deep and has a diameter of 10 metres. The second wolf pit is larger and has a circumference of 50 paces. The Obora forest south of Vlčí Habřina recalls a former wolf enclosure in its name.
